Telling My Story
My Musical Roots
I grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to a variety of musical genres at a young age. My love for music led me to take up the guitar during the Maine ice-storm of 1998, and by the mid 2000s I was actively playing guitar and piano. I have been singing since I was a child, and learned harmonies and the power of vocals, singing alongside my family and friends. I draw inspiration from a wide range of artists; my favorites include Alanis Morrisette, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles, and the incomparable Linda Ronstadt.
My Creative Process
My original music is a reflection of my life experiences and emotions. Be it a phrase that resonates or an experience or even a simple thought, inspiration can come from anywhere and I try to never miss an opportunity to translate experience into song.
